Heard of "Hannover Messe" - the largest industrial technology trade show in the world? No need to fly specially to Germany, it has come to Singapore under the Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (ITAP) 2018 event! Amassing around 300 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors from a diverse range of industries including manufacturing, IT and engineering, the 3-day trade show held at Singapore Expo was a culmination of advanced Industry 4.0 technologies for those who were keen to explore or even adopt these ideas.
Having exhibited previously at Hannover Messe 2018 in Germany, Auk Industries was more than excited to be part of this ITAP event. As the event focuses on the Asia-Pacific region, it was even more relevant for us, given our base in Singapore and plans to expand to Indonesia and Malaysia.
Our team at Auk all geared up for ITAP 2018!
At ITAP's opening ceremony, DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam shared the Singapore government's efforts in fostering collaboration to accelerate Industry 4.0 transformation in the region. One of it includes EDB's introduction of a Singapore Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIREX), a framework to help companies to evaluate their Industry 4.0 readiness. DPM Tharman also officially launched the Index Partners Network, which complements the SIREX in bringing together financial institutions, technology and training providers as well as international organisations, for manufacturers to reach out to in their transformation journey.

Yes, Auk Industries is a founding member of the Index Partners Network. Read more about it here!
This time at ITAP 2018 - we've stepped up our game. We brought a gigantic TV-looking tablet to showcase how our dashboard can potentially be used interactively by workers on the shopfloor to monitor their productivity and even physical sets of our IoT Starter Kit.

In one special occasion, Auk Industries had a chance to present to Indonesia manufacturers at the Indonesia - Singapore Roundtable discussion organised by ESG. Although Indonesia has just announced their I4.0 roadmap, we are thrilled to see more and more Indonesia manufacturing companies becoming keen to adopt Industry 4.0 technology.

We are also very pleased to have not only met with manufacturers who were keen to find out about how our Industrial IoT fits their differing scales of operations, but also consultancy firms who wanted to find an IoT solution that would benefit their clients who may have older legacy machines.
Our enthusiastic team happy to meet with visitors and share our Industrial IoT solution
Of course, we also had a familiar face approach our booth. He is none other than Mr. Airlangga Hartato, the Minister of Industry in Indonesia, whom we met three months ago at Innofest Indonesia 2018. In fact, he mentioned that he remembers and could recognise the coffee espresso machine that we always bring as a demonstration for our events! If you want a taste of our IoT coffee, be sure to catch us at our next event. ;)

In sum, ITAP 2018 was a fulfilling three-day exhibition where we made new connections and encountered new vistas for collaborations. With the immense industrial growth in the Asia-Pacific region, Auk Industries is optimistic in the increasing adoption of Industry 4.0, especially a low-barrier solution such as ours.
